A Mercy Flight helicopter crashed at the Genesee County Airport on Wednesday night, but there were no injuries reported.
Deputies say it happened just before 9:30 p.m. on the north side of the airport as the chopper was attempting to land after returning from Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.
The incident happened in a field just north of the flight line.
Officials say the helicopter made a hard landing and had damage to the underside of the fuselage.
All crew members were safely outside the aircraft when deputies arrived and were taken to the hospital for medical evaluations as a precaution.
The cause of the crash is not known, according to the sheriff's office, which is investigating along with the Federal Aviation Administration.
