Monroe County reports 222 additional cases of COVID-19

Monroe County is reporting another 222 cases of COVID-19. There were no new deaths in the data released on Sunday. The seven-day rolling average of new cases is 253 new cases per day.

The seven-day rolling average positivity rate for Monroe County was 3.1%, the highest it’s been since Feb. 2.

The statewide seven-day average positivity rate is 3.27%.

There are 197 people hospitalized in the Finger Lakes Region; 45 are in ICU.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo said on Sunday that nearly 1-in-4 New Yorkers are now fully vaccinated.

Wayne County health officials said that they have a large number of appointments left for a COVID-19 vaccination clinic that takes place Monday, April 12, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Lyons.

The clinic will distribute the single dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine, for individuals 18 and older, with information to register at the Wayne County Public Health Facebook page.
